Fertility, Perinatal, & Parenting Support

There are many challenges and stressors on the journey of parenthood. And yet, nurturing support is so needed during these delicate times. Improving nervous system regulation, helps us to be more attuned and present for ourselves and our family.

Both Somatic Experiencing® & the Safe & Sound Protocol can be supportive to resolve the effects of these challenges and increase resilience towards stress.

Some of these experiences include:

  • History of pregnancy loss in any form

  • Previous medical or procedural trauma; negative experiences with the medical system

  • Fertility challenges

  • Those wishing to foster a deeper connection with your body especially when faith in the body is lost

  • History of sexual assault in any form

  • In support of and preparation for fertility treatments

  • History of difficult childhood experiences & challenging relationships or estrangement from your own parents

After giving birth, the experience of being a new parent can be overwhelming. Often parents don’t have the opportunity to reflect and to integrate the experience of birth. A Post-partum session with or without touch to reflect on and to integrate the birthing experience can be settling and nurturing for parents.

Many women experience some degree of birthing trauma or overwhelming sensations that arise while birthing. Somatic Experiencing® can be used to gently heal from these experiences for both mothers and birthing partners.
