Why I am creating Humming Rock Healing
Humming Rock Healing is the practice of Dr. Becca Summers
I am creating my practice with the intent to provide space and time to slow down, to connect, and to work differently outside of the traditional medical model. In the realms of healing and medicine, a key, yet often unaddressed dimension is how residues of trauma and chronic stress impact our nervous system regulation and how this, inturn, impacts our health. As a Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner and Physician, my practice aims to bridge this gap by integrating a holistic approach to support improved nervous system regulation. The residues are not just psychological; they inscribe themselves into our biological systems and contribute to a wide array of symptoms and disease. By supporting improved nervous system regulation, we open the door to lasting shifts towards health, vitality, resilience, and connection.

Services
Work with one or a combination of modalities.
Trigger Point Needling
Trigger Point Needling is an extremely effective technique that uses needles to “deactivate” painful or knotted areas in muscles. Small needles are briefly inserted into the trigger point to elicit a twitch response which can result in more relaxed muscles, decreased pain, and improved muscle function.
